Sandra is a registered dietitian with experience in food service management, patient nutrition, menu planning, student training and quality monitoring. She received a Bachelor of Science (Home Economics) from the University of Alberta and completed her Dietetic Internship at the Montreal General Hospital. She has a certificate from the Advanced Management Program for the Hospitality Industry, University of Guelph, Ontario.

During her career in health care, Sandra has worked in continuing care (Maimonides Hospital and Home for the Aged, Montreal, Quebec), and acute care dietetics (Montreal General Hospital), managed clinical nutrition and patient food services for acute and continuing care patients, and was department director for Nutrition and Food Services at Foothills Hospital in Calgary.

Through her company, Nutrition and More Consulting, she has completed projects including a provincial menu audit for continuing care, menu review for care centres, and planning distance education nutrition and food services courses for college level. She is an Instructor in the Nutrition Manager Program at Bow Valley College, Calgary.

She is a registered member of the College of Dietitians of Alberta, and member of Dietitians of Canada and the Consulting Dietitian's Network.
